In modern Simulink releases, you can expand a subsystem back into individual blocks using the Expand Subsystem feature:

  1. Right-click the Subsystem block in your Simulink model canvas.
  2. Navigate to Subsystem & Model Reference > Expand Subsystem (or press Ctrl + Shift + X).
  3. Simulink will remove the subsystem boundary box and restore all enclosed blocks directly onto the main model level while maintaining signal wire connections.
