Question
I created a model in Simulink 6.1 (R14SP1) and saved it as a file with capital letters. When I open up the model again, the name in the title bar of the model is all lower case. For example, if I save a model as 'Engine.mdl', close it, and then open it again, the title is 'engine.mdl'. In certain cases, when I save the model, it renames the file to the lower case version.

This bug has been fixed in Release 14 Service Pack 2 (R14SP2). For previous releases, please read below for any possible workarounds:
We have verified that there is a bug in Simulink 6.1 (R14SP1) when there are multiple models in the path with names differing only in case. To work around this issue, rename the file so that it does not share the same name as another model on the path. You can find the location of conflicting models using the WHICH command as follows:
which modelname
Where modelname is the name of the Simulink model you are having problems with in all lower-case letters.
